Clown Knifefish

Description

The Clown Knifefish, also known as the Clown Featherback, is a unique freshwater fish with a distinctive knife-like shape, characterized by its elongated, laterally compressed body and silvery-grey coloration. It’s further distinguished by black spots (or dark vertical bands in juveniles) along its sides, a small dorsal fin, and a long anal fin that gives it its name and allows for both forward and backward movement. Native to Southeast Asia, it has also become established in some Florida waterways as an invasive species.
